Meredith is fascinated by human behavior, particularly how digital “body language” can inform marketing strategies for social good. Certified in Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Pardot by Salesforce, she is a classic philomath and is always seeking new and engaging ways to communicate with people online.
As an account manager, Meredith leads teams of fellow Whalers to provide best-in-class services to her clients. She has overseen the digital strategies of over 12 nonprofit and for-good organizations, helping them to increase site traffic and drive measurable impact online. Email is currently Meredith’s favorite way to increase the impact of Whole Whale’s clients — she has designed and executed email marketing and lead generation campaigns for Donate Life America, Americares, the Kaiser Family Foundation, Charitybuzz, Rebuilding Together and more. In addition to client management and services, Meredith also leads Whole Whale’s in-house email marketing, and has more than tripled the Whole Whale subscriber list through an integrated lead acquisition strategy (and plenty of A/B testing). You may already recognize her name from Whole Whale’s newsletters.
While Meredith loves learning, she loves to build expertise within social impact organizations even more. She has trained nonprofit professionals in content marketing, SEO, email marketing, social media, and more. As the dean of Whole Whale University, Whole Whale’s online capacity building platform, she has reached over 3,000 students and produced 5 of Whole Whale’s 6 current on-demand courses. She has co-produced collaborative courses with TechSoup, and has continued that partnership — as well as partnerships with NTEN, GivingTuesday, CauseVox, Idealist, and Beth Kanter — to bring digital marketing case studies to life at our WWU:Live events. As part of WWU:Live, Meredith has organized over 80 in-person and virtual training events, attended by over 7,500 nonprofit professionals.
Before she became a Whaler, Meredith studied Comparative Human Development at the University of Chicago and worked on campus to build, measure, and grow social media presence and engagement for the Center for Identity + Inclusion. She also worked with Ragan Communications, executing email and social media marketing campaigns for their conferences.
When she isn’t managing Puppy Whaler Turtle or planning a team hangout, Meredith can be found traveling, cooking, or watching television series with a strong female lead.
