About Shakirah Hill

Shakirah Hill is the Director of Digital Strategy at Communities In Schools an organization committed to empowering students by surrounding them with a community of support so that they stay in school and succeed in life. In her role she oversees the organization’s strategic implementation of digital initiatives. This includes building Communities In Schools as an online thought leader and content developer around issues impacting young people’s ability to stay in school. Before joining Communities In Schools, Shakirah was an account director at Blue State Digital where led the account teams for NAACP, UNCF and the United States Olympic Committee, managing strategists, communications specialists and data analysts. Prior to joining BSD, Shakirah worked as an account supervisor at Environics Communications on brand clients such as DANONE and the Boston MBTA. Her work produced strong digital communities for clients, increased ROI on digital advertising campaigns and engaged employee relations. She also served as a digital strategy fellow for Nike UK.
