Thanking donors is the final step in the donation cycle and the easiest way to retain donors — but is often overlooked. While it’s important to generate a thank you message as soon as a donation is made, we recommend thanking donors four times or more.
It’s also important to tailor your messaging to the type of donor. For instance, thanking a monthly donor periodically would look different than thanking a one-time donor.
